Premise: The beloved Alice Angel is out for a walk, when she stumbles upon a mysterious paper with a song written on it.
Notes from the Creator:
A big thank you to Steve for helping me not only voice this, but write it! I'd never gotten quite as stuck as I had on this poem, and if not for him, it wouldn't be here to completion.
I never thought I'd be doing any kind of scat in my work, and I'm not entirely sure of how scat works, so my apologies if this is horribly inaccurate, but boy was it fun to let loose. This is also the first time since I was 16 that my singing voice has been featured on YouTube, so wow, thank goodness I've improved. XD I'm naturally of a lower register, so this isn't really my full sound, but it works for a cute little nod to the angel. You'll hear some of my lower registers in a future poem, just you wait.

Alice Angel: Hmm? What’s this? Someone left a poem behind. I’d hate to read it without asking first, but maybe there’s a name on here that can help me find them.
Or not. sighs Seriously? No name here? Who wrote this?
No one will mind if I read just a little bit, right? I mean, not like anyone’s around to hear.
clears throat
Skit skat doodley bap
Doo doo doo whop doo whop
Skid-a-da-dee, da do da do wha
La-da-da-dee-dah, de-da-de-dah
Wait … is that all it says? Who would write something like that?
sounds of crumpling paper
Utter nonsense. I mean, what is that even supposed to mean? “Skit skat doodley bap”
Bah ba bada ba ba! Bum biddle boodley bop,
Doo whop, do whop!
Ooh baby, it’s gettin’ so ra-ta-ta-ta whooo!
Improvised scat music
Even more improvised scat music
laughter Okay, I take it back, this was a good idea. But that still doesn’t explain why anyone would write down scat on the page and just leave it laying around.
Generic Cartoon Character #47: Oooh look, scat music!
Alice: Huh? Who’s there?
GC: Calm down, there. I just heard your singing and thought it sounded nice.
Alice: Oh. Well, I was just reading from this scrap of paper I found.
GC: You wouldn’t happen to know any other songs, would ya?
Alice: Me? I mean, I don’t … well … I guess I could think of one more.
GC: Oh yes, pretty please Miss Angel!
Alice: Alright, how about this one!
I'm the cutest little angel, sent from above, and I know just how to swing.
I got a bright little halo, and I'm filled with love...
I'm Alice Angel!
I'm the hit of the party, I'm the belle of the ball, I'm the toast of every town.
Just one little dance, and I know you'll fall...
I'm Alice Angel!
I ain't no flapper, I'm a classy dish, and boy, can this girl sing.
This gal can grant your every wish...
I’m Alice Angel!
