Joy Kogah is a truly spectacular young woman who is so deserving of being the Scholar of the Week. Joy is an extremely caring and amiable young woman, and she is committed to making a difference in her community. She is a leader both inside and outside of school, and is giving of herself, almost to a fault. Joy is a member of the student council and NHS. She is also a varsity athlete and intern with Urban Alliance. However, Joy’s most impressive extracurricular is MERIT. Joy gives up her Saturday mornings to participate in this exceptional program. Through this program, she has had the opportunity to conduct her own research and work with world-renowned doctors at Johns Hopkins and participate in some truly amazing college prep programming.
