Pakistan's prime minister has quit after the country’s Supreme Court disqualified him on grounds that he lied about his assets during a corruption probe.

The Panama Papers scandal revealed that Nawaz Sharif's children owned offshore companies and assets that were not declared.

The court also ordered the removal of Sharif's finance minister from office.
