Reduced Vertical Separation Minima

Описание к видео Reduced Vertical Separation Minima

This video introduces the principles and objectives being Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) operations in EUR RVSM airspace.

Within RVSM designated airspace (between Flight Levels FL290 and FL410) the vertical separation between aircraft is 1000ft. This reduction from the previous 2000ft separation at such flight levels supports capacity improvements and allows more aircraft to fly at their optimum operating height - saving both money and reducing fuel consumption. However before conducting flights in such airspace the aircraft much be suitably equipped, certified and appropriately approved. This video provides an initial explanation of the requirements and is intended to support the understanding of documents published by the likes of EUROCONTROL, ICAO and EASA.

Please visit the EUROCONTROL Agency website for further details on RVSM and for information on many other topics relating to Air Traffic Management: www.eurocontrol.int We are pleased to share with you some of videos and animations.
