Day 4 - Advanced Helicopter Autorotation - Vertical Descent to my spot

This is a video of the 4th day of training. Building on the previous days of knocking off years of dust, extended glide, crabbing, sidewards flare, and the hard deceleration to a zero speed auto.

Today was much review but also showed me a few autos where we had nearly a vertical descent to our touchdown spot. Something I wasn't too comfortable with saw with my own eyes that if that was my only option that it was very doable. A must if landing in a very confined spot.

We started to have some minor engine problems to ended the flight and had the issue fixed.

All these techniques are used to help make me learn how to make my spot EVERY time.

This video's purpose is for education, hopefully helping people see some techniques that are outside the box of the traditional training environment. I wish I had learned these techniques 3,600 hours ago when I first learned. The videos are not intended to replace actual instruction for a good instructor.
