Quick little down paddle down the Assabet in Maynard. Was quite the hassle to get onto as there was no real launch spot--and for good reason. As you can see in the video, I very quickly face a downward slope that later turns to a drop-off. No way I can turn around from that, so I cut my paddle short.

But don't worry, I managed to pull off to the side, trudge through forest brush, and put the kayak back on my car to then launch from a mile or so down stream (to be seen in Part 2).
