Here's a reboot my video from last year, but much shorter for digestion!

1. You will not complete everything and that’s okay
2. READ THE INGAME NOTICES
3. RESEARCH EVERYTHING, don’t just blindly follow youtubers
a. Get different points of view and evaluate your needs from there
4. SAVE YOUR FRIEND CODE and back up your data
5. Reroll to get currently available character LDs and EXs at minimum (Rude, etc)
6. When thinking about characters and pulling, look for characters who have synergy with others and either compliment or cancel drawbacks
a. IE Lenna with WoL for stronger shields or Vivi with a strong healer to make up for losing HP
7. Lots of untapped content, lots of gems to farm – look at who is available and build a roster, prioritizing at least 1 of each role
a. Lost Chapters will yield gems the fastest
b. First clears on cycle quests (this will also get you your Crystals)
c. Rank ups yield gems every 10 character levels, plus player rewards
d. Try to get at least 1 copy of each weapon
8. NEVER SELL A WEAPON THAT IS NOT MAX LIMIT BROKEN
9. To start only upgrade the Crystal Strength of characters that you are actively going to build
a. As your stash of crystals becomes greater you can upgrade your other characters to get the added gems per rank
10. Do your dailies, especially daily hunts
a. As a brand new player, I would start off by buying Weapon Nuggets, then slowly move to exchanging for tickets
11. Upgrade your summons for combat bonuses
12. Take advantage of Super Synergy whenever possible – Summon boards
a. Mog Pass – helps CB points too
b. 10 boards per character = lots of resources
13. Do your Chocobo Panel missions!
14. At minimum, complete enough co-ops to clear out the shops
15. Armor Tokens – Prioritize!
16. Weapon and Armor Realization – Books and Ingots – prioritize to your needs based on roles
a. Don’t be ashamed to use Gem Revive to get through Chaos – the nuggets are worth it
b. Lufenia requires perfect clear to get the High Armor tokens
17. Upgrade your stash – yes it costs gems and yes you will be okay
18. Take advantage of Item sales
a. Triple Item, EXP books make a huge difference
19. Carbuncle WOI when available
20. Tips for farming gil
21. Join some discords and get in-game friends for support
