Okay. I think, first of all, I would like to say that we are so SO thrilled to finally have this video up on our channel!

Last January 16, 2022, we attended the K-Pop concert held and organised by the Korea Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai. A line-up of amazing artists performed during the Korea National Day celebration. PSY, Stray Kids, Sunmi, Forestella, (G)-idle, and Golden Child were there, and it was so great to see their performances! But most of all, we were infinitely happy to see 우리 스키지 our Stray Kids as the officially appointed ambassadors of the Republic of Korea Pavilion for the Expo 2020. 🥺

At that time, I (el) was a baby stay and felt so lucky to be able to see them perform live! I’m very much indebted and thankful to ainie (a pre-debut stay) for guiding me to the whole world of SKZ. She is the real hero of this concert experience. 🤩

Also, this event was so important to Stray Kids and to all the Stays for a couple of reasons. 2 days before their schedule in Dubai, they were supposed to perform at a music festival in Riyadh which was unfortunately canceled due to extreme weather conditions. We all knew how bummed out the kids felt, and for the stays as well who had put a lot of preparations to attend the event. But still, they had to go ahead with their Expo 2020 schedules, and we really hoped this successful event was able to cheer up our SKZ!!!

Another reason is that this became their first overseas performance since the COVID situation started, and to be able to meet them like this is just so out-of-this-world crazy!!! Plus, we were just so proud of our fellow Dubai stays for giving them a proper welcome at the airport with no mobbing.

Last reason is that, seeing our SKZ representing the Korea Pavilion at the Expo as the official ambassador is such a purely proud moment for the stays!!!

It was a free event and no tickets were sold for the concert (apart from the entrance fee to the Expo 2020 Dubai). However, the concert venue was divided between the VIP section and the general admission, where people started lining up as early as 10 hours prior. We were so grateful to have been invited and given VIP tickets by the show organisers, which let us be able to enjoy the rest of the activities of the day because we didn’t need to line up all day (hello soundcheck and opening ceremony❣️).

I know this is extremely late (6 months late to be exact) and I can give you a full list of why it took so long to edit this vlog. The 1Q and 2Q of 2022 had been crazy busy at our workplace (accountant armystays know this, right? ㅠㅠ), plus we had also been spending a lot of time filming other contents, like attending events, unboxing merchs, birthday events, and other stuff. But most, most importantly, editing this vlog took unfathomably long ㅋㅋ I'm really sorry!! Editing actually started way back in January but every time I tried to sit down and resume editing, I end up just re-watching our fancams and ugly crying and being attacked in the feelings by our ot8 as I relive all interactions we had from our front-row barricade POV ㅠㅠ ( please I am serious, it was such a struggle!)

Anyways, thank you Stray Kids for working hard and for still preparing a lot for stays despite the COVID.
