At the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup 2015 in Japan, the home team faced Russia in the third round of the tournament and 19-year-old Yuki Ishikawa had to take on 2.18m tall Dmitry Muserskiy.

Despite his youth, Ishikawa demonstrated impressive attacking prowess, ultimately ranking 4th in the tournament's Best Outside Spikers statistics with a 55.82% success rate. Muserskiy, known for his powerful spikes, secured 3rd place in the ranking with a 55.93% success rate.
