Mexico Square - Stadium corridor is the center of Addis Ababa where the Federal Police head quarter, the Ethiopian chamber of commerce and the City's financial center are located, among others. This neighborhood is one of the major commercial as well as financial hubs of the City. After the Second Italo-Ethiopian War, Mexico was one of only five countries that refused to recognize Italy's annexation of Ethiopia. That is why this particular square was named after this Country.

Addis Ababa's certain neighborhoods are currently undergoing significant reconstruction by the Government, of which Mexico Square - Stadium is one of them. I shot this video on September 13/2024.
