I was called in as a last resort to help with this 3-month-old foal showing highly dangerous behavior.

At only three months of age, this baby was already large, strong, and unpredictable. She had bitten, struck, and attacked her owners, putting them at serious risk. They had exhausted all other options, and nothing tried had truly worked.

This foal also needed hoof care, meaning she had to become safe for the farrier to handle without sedation or drugs.

This video is long and sometimes uneventful, and that is intentional.

This is real horse training, filmed in real time. We do not stage situations or repeat exercises for the camera. Sometimes the angles are good, sometimes they aren’t. There is no dramatic editing, no background music, and no special effects.

Real horsemanship is often quiet, slow, and even boring to watch, but incredibly important in the long run.

Many people ask if behavior like this is caused by abuse. In this case, the answer is no. The owners loved this foal deeply and treated her with kindness. The issue here is over-permissiveness, not cruelty.

Horses, no matter their age, will always test boundaries. When boundaries are unclear, dangerous behavior can develop. Not because the horse is mean, but because that is how horses learn and survive.

At three months old, this foal is already strong enough to hurt people. Imagine her at six months, one year, or older, long before she is ever ridden.
