Today i am sharing How to make Sri Lankan Style Love Cake Recipe step by step with clear instructions of preparing, Mixing , baking. This cake is made during Christmas Time, It is a Traditional Sri Lankan Love Cake Recipe. Most of the Srilankans make this Love cake for christmas,
This Love cake is made from Semolina, Butter, eggs, honey, cashewnuts, Pumpkin Preserve, sugar along with spices and essences. I have used Mixed spices / All spices. You can fine it in any store. There are Love cake recipes without pumpkin preserve. You can omit if you don't like. Pumpkin preserve is also known as phul dosi, wintermelon. Rum/Brandy is also added to the cake . This love cake recipe is a Moist, Sweet, Delicious, Nutty and Fragrant as we use Rose essence, Almond essence for a strong flavor.

Ingredients for Sri Lankan Love Cake Recipe

Semolina 200g
Butter 125g
Sugar - 200g ( Powdered and measured)
Egg - 6
Cashew Nuts - 300g
Honey - 2 Tbsp
Mixed Spices / All spices - 1 Tbsp
Rose essence - 1/4 Tsp
Almond essence - 1/4 Tsp
Rum / Brandy - 20ml
Pumpkin preserve - 100g
