Описание к видео Maya Animation Test

Hey everyone, it's been a while.

I've got an update/explanation for my hiatus below, but the short of it is I'm most likely not going to make any more FNaF content.

First off, I just want to thank all of you for watching and subscribing! You all gave me motivation to get through a lot, and I wouldn't be where I am today without your support.

I originally created this channel to be a lurker account, a means to collect and favorite videos and leave the occasional comment. Having videos that people actually liked was a complete accident, a result of me messing around in SFM and learning how to animate using FNaF characters. It was fun, and I learned a lot, but ultimately I realized that while I liked animating, I didn't really LOVE doing it.

As I went on, I kept trying harder and harder on my videos, raising the bar to see what I could do. This resulted in my last video, Pyro's Night at Freddy's. It became WAY more popular than I had ever thought it would be.

I'm still super thankful for all of your support, but that video also acted as sort of a curse for me. After posting it, I felt like whatever I made next had to top it, or else I'd end up disappointing everyone who subscribed to me. That, of course, led to frustration with working in SFM, and that led to procrastination with animating at all. That is why I haven't posted anything in over a year, as I felt that whatever I made would end up disappointing people.

Truth be told, I've found since then that I really enjoy 3D modeling and rigging much more than animating, and I would rather do that as a hobby (and hopefully a career someday) instead. Unfortunately, that means that I don't plan on making any more FNaF videos, or even videos in SFM. I might make more animations in Maya, but they will most likely involve original characters and stories, though with my current level of experience I probably won't be posting anything more than simple animation tests like this for a while.

So as much fun as I've had making SFM stuff, and as much as I appreciate all of your support, I would ultimately like to go back to using this channel just to post whatever I happen to make without having to worry about topping myself or please a fanbase.

I hope you all can understand. Once again, thank you guys for liking my previous videos, but I'm probably not going to make anything like them any longer.

As for a description of this animation test itself, it is an animation of a model that I created based on this picture: http://akiba80.deviantart.com/art/Lor...

I'm just getting my feet wet with animation in Maya, but I already it's proving to be a lot nicer than SFM, with better IK/FK controls, customizable models and rigs, and much cleaner ways of interacting with keyframes. Of course, it comes without any of the premade content that SFM has, so making all of the assets myself turns out to take up the bulk of my time.
