We're leading off this week's video fishing forecast for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region with a breakdown on the NOAA Fisheries decision to shut down our Atlantic bluefin fishery. In this opening 7-1/2-minute segment we attempt to address questions/comments in a number texts, direct messages, phone calls and emails received since the announcement last Friday and resulting in the official closure on August 12. We hold out a sliver of hope, while the silver lining (7:45) is that yellowfin remains open with a good weather forecast in store for the weekend, inshore as well (11:55) for those fluking around in the days ahead, perhaps looking for cobia or nearshore dolphin. Croaker bycatch and a new reef deployment (18:25), a regular update with our Pocono Outdoors Guy (21:00), and finally this week our weekly calendar (25:43) and breaking news on fluke and sea bass (27:30) direct from this week's Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council; and it appears to be good news for a change that's been a long time coming. Also this week, a gubernatorial candidate (33:55) visits a local Jersey Shore tackle shop and offers his take on Island Beach buggy permits.
