Understanding a Roll-Up M&A Strategy

Roll-up (or roll-ups or rollups) are a special type of merger and acquisition event. Famous roll-ups include Blockbuster Video, AutoNation, and Waste Management (Wayne Huizenga was behind all three of those deals). Roll-ups are all about execution. A management team establishes a system and processes for integrating lots of small businesses into a larger, scalable entity.

Today's video explains the concept of a roll-up acquisition strategy - the process of consolidating a number of smaller firms in the same industry under one larger corporate organization.

Brett holds a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Messiah College in Grantham, Pennsylvania.
