The Economics of HODLing ("Hold" Typo Meme) Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies Explained in One Minute

Описание к видео The Economics of HODLing ("Hold" Typo Meme) Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies Explained in One Minute

If you've been on bitcoin or cryptocurrency communities, you've almost certainly heard people say that they're "HODLing" rather than trading.

But what is this HODL meme all about?

Simply put, HODL is obviously a typo of "hold" and ever since a random person used the term on a crypto forum after a price crash, it became a meme which symbolizes the preference of a lot of folks to simply hold on to their bitcoin/crypto rather than try to time the market.

As I've explained in this video, HODLing has its pros but there are cons involved as well and you need to be aware of both dimensions.

So... should you HODL?

Well, while there's nothing wrong with liking the idea of HODLing, it would perhaps be wise to have some other tools in your arsenal as well. In other words, feel free to make HODLing the main pillar of your bitcoin or crypto strategy... just make sure it's not the only one :)
