Bukovel. The best ski resort in Ukraine.
Bukovel (Bukovel) — is the largest ski resort in Eastern
Europe situated in Ukraine, in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
of western Ukraine. It is one of the most popular ski
resorts in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains.
The climate of the Carpathians is characterized by a snowy
winter. There is no big frosts and cold winds.
The sun shines quite a large number of days. The temperature
vary from 3 to 7 degrees below zero.
Winter in Bukovel is wonderful. Snow covers the surrounding
mountains and on a white veil you can see bright costumes
of Skiers.
There is Bukovel Ski School which was set up in 2001 by the
Bukovel Ski Resort and ski and snowboarding coaches. It
trains people of all ages, as well as provides training
grounds for professional sportsmen. The School promotes
skiing and health programmes.
Today people come here not only from Ukraine. The trails
are very well equipped and so that professional skiers do
not interfere newcomers.
People begin to ride in Bukoveli in November and finish in
May.
Bukovel is a serene nature and well-appointed hotels, where
you can relax with friends, or with your family.
Let’s not forget about tasty food.
How delicious brynza, goat cheese is!
You can eat it yourself, in a snack with fresh Carpathian
vegetables, and you can try it in the composition of the
banosh - dishe from corn flour with cream, brynza, cracklings
or mushrooms.
And children for dessert, you can offer forest berries,
varenyky with curd or gobovtsy - steamed potato or curd balls
with berry stuffing. And if you overeat , then eat a few
spoons of goslyanki - a traditional cultured milk product.
