The exposé claims that 1,500 acres of land were taken from farmers without their knowledge, with land records being forged and the WAQF board's name inserted. The farmers were not consulted and have received no notice of the change in ownership. The Siddaramaiah government has blamed local officials for the incident. The Vijayapura District In-charge Minister, Dr. M B Patil, has promised rectification.
