Mid-America Wine Competition

The Wine Diamonds Film project is pleased to present a glimpse inside the Mid-American Wine Competition held each July on the campus of Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa.

The Mid-American Wine Competition is held each year in July, in Iowa, and focuses on wines of the Midwest. The competition is open to commercial wineries of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

This competition not only judges wines against other wines, it also provides the opportunity for wineries to have their wines judged against carefully selected food-friendly dishes.
