Master Class by Manini Mishra on Art Direction

Media Konnect's Master Class is a session consisting of workshops, lectures and live interactions between the experts and their audiences. Each time, Media Konnect plans to introduce and explore media related topics to have a fruitful and engaging discussion.
Till date our Master Class's topics were 'Media and Entertainment Laws', 'Writing', 'Script Writing' and 'Direction' taken by well known personalities and stalwarts in their own fields.
We are ready with our fifth Master Class on 'Art Direction' where we want to bring forth the art of transfiguring the vision of designing sets and location with distinctive identity. Our distinguished speaker is going to touch her field of expertise in art direction.

Manini Mishra is a well known Art Director in Bollywood. She got her first break while she was pursuing her Masters degree when an art director who had come to shoot an ad film at her college was very impressed with her work and offered her the role of an Assistant Art Director in 'The Dirty Picture'.
Since then there has been no looking back and she has assisted on big banner films like 'Ishq In Paris' (India schedule), 'Kick' and 'PK' (last schedule).
Today, Manini as an Art Director has films like 'Highway', 'Tamasha' and 'Kaabil' to her credit. She is currently working on Yash Raj Film’s ‘Thugs of Hindustan’ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and other big stars.
Art Direction is a huge responsibility and its very important for the mood of any film. With the plethora of movies she has to her merit - Manini would surely curate the most important aspects one should keep in mind while filming their own projects, the prime being set designing. She will share her experience and introduce the world of ‘art direction’ to budding art directors and filmmakers on what all to keep in mind while developing a set.
