The South African Social Security Agency has confirmed it has changed the dates of the social grant payments to protect the vulnerable.
Older citizens will be able to collect their social grants on the 4th of May.
People living with disabilities will receive social grants, on the 6th.
According to SASSA this decision was made in a bid to avoid chaos at pay points and to maintain social distancing.
