Searching the Beach for Sharks and Pompano | Catch N Cook

In this episode of BlacktipH, I go fishing with my good friend Matt Budd, and our objective was to search along the beach for sharks and pompano fish. Early in the morning, we started jigging for pompano. To our surprise, both Matt and I were hooking ladyfish nearly every cast. After an hour, Matt caught our first pompano! Suddenly, Matt spotted a huge hammerhead shark swimming towards the boat. We tried to catch the hammerhead shark, but unfortunately, it didn't eat the bait. As we continued to drive south, we found a massive school of jack crevalles ready to eat. As soon as our poppers hit the water, the jacks destroyed them! We caught over a dozen jack crevalles on topwater lures. I spotted a large number of blacktip sharks with the drone, so we decided to try and catch a shark. I used a balloon rig with a fresh blue runner, and within five minutes, I was hooked up to blacktip shark! After releasing the blacktip shark, the weather started to get hairy, so we decided to pack it up and head back to the dock. Both Matt and I decided to cook the pompano, Catch N Cook style. We cooked the pompano three different ways, baked with the skin on, whole (bone in) and on the frying pan. All three recipes were delicious!
