Video show a person called ‘Jo’ using the REACT phone app to make the at-bus-stop-display ‘talk’, and audibly announce it visually presented information.

Jo’s turns open the free of charge App on her phone and starts the scanning process, then places the phone back in her pocket and walks down the street. As Jo’s approaches the first bus stop, the app provides a notification to connect with the display, upon which makes the display ‘talk’ it’s location, which is ‘Station A’. This isn’t the bus stop that Jo’s wants, so she continues walking.

As Jo’s approach the next bus top, the app provides a notification to connect with the display, upon which makes the display ‘talk’ it’s location, which is ‘Station B’. This is the bus stop Jo wants, she presses the ‘about’ button, and the display ‘talks’ another message to aid wayfinding, the example being that this bus stop has no tactile paving. Jo’s then presses the ‘information’ button and the display ‘talks’ another message, saying when the bus is expected to arrive and where it is going.

Jo’s then gets on the right bus and continues her journey.
