Damn, they ain’t playing around with this mission…feels pretty crazy, but can be done pretty reliably – we managed to complete it quite a few times already on Helldive with a few different setups, this run was one of the smoother ones though. Here are a few tips that I found useful:

1) Stuns are the name of the game here – the bug breaches can pop up right next to your drills, but you can pretty much keep the area around a drill locked down with stun nades as long as you space out your throws. The armours with bonus nades are very useful, as are EMS Mortars and Strikes.

2) Chargers and Bile Titans also seem to aggro on players instead of the drill, meaning you can kite them away from the drill.

3) Clear any bug holes near the drill sites, but don’t worry too much about clearing the whole map – the vast bulk of threats will come from bug breaches instead.

4) On one of the drill sites, you can place the drill up on a ridge which can help funnel the enemies – otherwise placing it nearer some walls can help restrict the angles to watch.

5) If you get a roll with Bile Spewers, be very wary of blowing up any Spewers that spawn on the drill, as their explosion will take it out. Instead, go for headshots or just keep them locked down with stuns.

6) Be very wary of friendly fire on the drills – fire, arc weapons, gas etc. all damage the drill. The drill can actually tank a decent amount of hits from smaller enemies, so don’t risk a nade just to clear them off.

7) Useful strats - Mechs are pretty good for getting in front of bug breaches and hosing them down – Patriot preferable as it can deal with Bile Titans as well. Gatling Turrets are also very good not only for defending the drills, but also thinning out the insane swarm of Shriekers at extract. EATs are top tier for building up a stockpile at drill sites for you to take on all heavies. Large AOE strikes are harder to use safely around the drills, so make sure you’re not reliant on stuff like the 500kg to take out heavies.

8) Shriekers will infinitely respawn at extract, so try and bring some things to help you survive – Incendiary Breaker is great for taking them out, as are Gatling Turrets. Mechs are pretty good as well for taking them out and tanking a fair amount of damage, just make sure you’re ready to bail when your mech starts smoking.

Props to my teammates ‪@originalSPECTER‬, M4K0, and TUnforgotten for the game! If you're looking to join us for some coop games, or do runs with other like-minded players, check us out on Warrior's discord:   / discord

Build:

Incendiary Breaker is great for trash clear and taking out the Shriekers at the end - Grenade Pistol can be handy for taking out any bug holes near the drill sites, while Stun nades are a must pick for locking down crowds.

EATs are probably the most useful anti-Tank since you can stockpile them at the drill sites and you can take out Chargers and Titans without worrying about large AOE friendly fire.

Gatling sentries are useful for defending the drills and taking out Shriekers at extract, while Autocannon gives you something harder hitting for heavies. HMG emplacement can come in useful for defending the drill sites, just try to place them further from the drill and in positions that restrict the angles the enemies can reach you - beware that if a bug breach appears under the HMG emplacement, it will immediately be destroyed.

A lot of setups do work for this mission though - hopefully I can upload a few more runs showing different approaches!
