Lefty Groove is the moniker of Charles Thompson, an artist on a mission to explore the depths of his being through the medium of sound. Drawing on the rich and diverse traditions of house, funk, and jazz, Thompson creates a sonic intersectionality that is entirely unique to his own experiences and understanding of life.

Music has been a central part of Thompson's life for almost two decades. As a young boy, he discovered the power of music and quickly developed an intense emotional connection with sound. He honed his skills as a trombonist and began performing both as a soloist and in jazz bands.

However, as Thompson grew older, his passion for music began to wane. It wasn't until he attended college that he realized how much he had been missing.
