With the New York City Marathon slated for November 2, 2025, we are marking the one-year anniversary of our campaign targeting the ethnonationalist alliance between India and Israel.

For the second year in a row, we are demanding New York Road Runners drop the marathon’s title sponsor, Tata Consultancy Services, a Indian company which bankrolls the genocide in Gaza. Join us for a teach-in about the campaign where we will also be launching a detailed report. This report culminates over a year of research, where we will lay out the extensive and multifaceted complicity of the Indian state, its capitalist class, and specifically the Tata Group, in supporting and profiting from the Zionist settler-colonial project that commits genocidal violence against the Palestinian people.

Note: There was an inadvertent slip in the talk regarding India’s vote on UN Resolution 181 (1947).
The resolution, adopted by the UN General Assembly, called for the partition of the British Mandate of Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, with Jerusalem under international administration.
At that time, India voted against the resolution, supporting instead a federal state of Palestine.
But soon after, in 1950, India recognized the State of Israel, and established full diplomatic relations in 1992.
