Slipping Away - Jack Miller music video

Описание к видео Slipping Away - Jack Miller music video

As a long time veteran of Jamaican music Jack Miller's reggae credentials are solid as the roots reggae he makes. Since his earliest recordings Miller's has never been content to be a Jamaican sound alike rather he has taken a highly original approach to reggae music. Like HARRY BELAFONTE with Calypso; MICHAEL FRANKS with Bossa Nova or WILLIE NELSON with country music Miller has taken the road less traveled carving out a unique vocal style. Always working with the finest rhythm sections and artists 'Blue Tropic' produced by REGGIE GRIFFIN is the culmination of Miller's lifelong pursuit of a unique musical style. From the opening track, a reggaeified cover of Sade's 'Nothing Can Come Between Us', this collection of originals and classic covers is a tour de force. The infectious 'Slipping Away' feature's a wicked FULLY FULLWOOD base line and a vocal duet with JAMES MCWHINNEY of BIG MOUNTAIN. The MARVIN GAYE cover of 'Come Get To This' demonstrates that Miller is and always has been a soul singer. The Blue Tropic title track is a smooth, funky reggae FULLY FULLWOOD groove featuring REGGIE GRIFFIN on vocals. There's lots to like here and one of the exceptional tracks is the Latin flavored 'LANGUAGE OF LOVE'. One could argue that not much 'new' has been happened in reggae for quite sometime 'Blue Tropic' points a fresh direction that one artist, JACK MILLER, has taken.
