🔥 The Book of Ezra (עֶזְרָא) marks a turning point in biblical history — the moment when exile ends and restoration begins.

Jerusalem lies in ruins.
The Temple is destroyed.
The people are scattered among the nations.

Yet the God of Israel had not forgotten His covenant.

🕊 Ezra opens with a divine movement: Adonai (אֲדֹנָי) stirs the heart of Cyrus, king of Persia, to fulfill His word spoken through the prophets. What Babylon broke, God begins to rebuild.

The people return — not all, but the faithful remnant.
They rebuild the altar before the walls.
They restore worship before security.
They place obedience before comfort.

🔥 The foundation of the Temple is laid again — and the sound is mixed:
Shouts of joy from the young.
Tears from the elders who remember the former glory.

Ezra reveals a powerful truth:
restoration is not instant — but it is intentional.

Opposition rises.
Work is halted.
Fear spreads.

Yet through the prophets Haggai and Zechariah, God calls His people to continue. The Temple is completed — not by might, nor by power, but by obedience.

🕊 In the second half of the book, Ezra himself arrives — a priest and scribe devoted to the Torah (תּוֹרָה). He confronts compromise, calls the people to repentance, and restores the covenant through the Word.
