Two men arrested following police pursuit of a stolen vehicle

Officers from GMP's Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit sighted a suspected stolen vehicle in Bury around 2.50am yesterday (15 September 2021).

Police engaged in a lengthy pursuit before the vehicle was abandoned on Seddon Street, Little Lever, with assistance from the Roads Policing Unit and the National Police Air Service.

Following a short foot chase, officers located and arrested two men inside a nearby address.

The men, aged 18 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, dangerous driving and numerous other offences. They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

The vehicle was recovered and identified as an outstanding stolen from Bolton less than 24 hours earlier.
