The history of Speyer begins with Establishment of a Roman Camp in 10BC and making one of Germany's oldest cities.It's name evolved from Spira. For several centuries from the middle ages into the early modern period, Speyer was one of the main centres of gravity of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation.

Including one of UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE.

Speyer is now over 2000 years old.
