The demonstration focuses on orchestration mechanisms of an open-source distributed latency-sensitive application composed of a series of interconnected streaming services. The video demonstrates the operation of the application and its two associated workflows, a video streaming workflow and an object detection one managing the safe operation of a robotic arm. A series of orchestration scenarios are included, showcasing the adaptability of the services' deployment, while the different technologies supporting inter-cluster connectivity are discussed. The object detection workflow is orchestrated using a set of autoscaling and computation offloading mechanisms over interconnected infrastructures showcasing the adaptability of the services to fluctuating traffic workloads, including a scenario with infrastructures from different providers requiring service federation. The streaming workflow demonstrates a high availability scenario on top of an emulated extreme-edge infrastructure.
