ThyssenKrupp unveils the world’s first sideways-moving elevator system

ThyssenKrupp have designed the world's first fully functional rope-less, horizontal-vertical elevator system.

Called Multi, the groundbreaking system was first previewed on Dezeen in December 2014.

The design features multiple magnetised cabins that operate in the same shaft on an electromagnetic track.
