Speaker of the House of Representatives, Bridgid Annisette-George, has sternly cautioned Members of Parliament over the leaking of information from a Joint Select Committee Meeting on Energy.

The meeting was held "in camera" which means it was not open to the public and was, therefore, confidential.

At the beginning of Friday's sitting of the House of Representatives, she denounced the leak saying that it was a breach of the Standing Orders, and a lack of respect for the privileges of the House.

She cautioned all members of the House to discontinue the practice of sharing details of Committee deliberations and decisions. She said it is inconsistent with the dignity of the House.
