Night Photography: How to Balance Flash and Ambient Lighting for Captivating Portraits

Описание к видео Night Photography: How to Balance Flash and Ambient Lighting for Captivating Portraits

Happy Sunday, everyone. Flashback to a few months ago when fellow photog, Black Queen Photography and I photographed Tanya (IG @taanyat) at Harbor Drive Pedestrian Bridge in San Diego, CA.

The importance of the exposure triangle is magnified shooting at night, especially if you want to properly expose for the subject but would like to also incorporate some ambient light from the background.

In this episode (excuse the formatting), I play around with the ISO as a means to balance ambient and flash exposure. You can also use shutter speed as a primary tool to balance; however, for the sake of speed, ISO was the best option for me.

Thanks so much again for your support. And like, comment, and subscribe if you feel these videos intrigue and provide you with useful information.
