‎Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz etched his name into AFCON folklore by scoring the very first goal of the tournament in the 55th minute – a cool, close-range finish after persistent pressure finally broke Comoros' stubborn defense. Not only did Díaz open the scoring, but his all-action display earned him the first Man of the Match award of AFCON 2025, capping a dream start for the Atlas Lions' playmaker in his major tournament debut for Morocco.

‎The hosts sealed the win in spectacular fashion in the 74th minute when substitute Ayoub El Kaabi unleashed a jaw-dropping overhead bicycle kick – an early contender for goal of the tournament!
