Kenwood and Icom unboxing video,many thanks to John VK2ATA & Greg VK3POP, both just incredible help.

Thank you John VK2ATA for the supply of both the Kenwood TS990 and the legendary Icom IC-PW1 amp for my remote Icom IC7610 setup which is controlled by my ipad with the Marcus Rosch DL8MRE software from Germany. A huge shout out to Greg VK3POP, this radio and amp purchase became so much less stressful knowing Greg was picking up in Sydney and ensuring it arrived here safely. As you will see from the video, Greg not only carted these huge boxes to me from Sydney to Wodonga, but what you don't see is the incredible help Greg gave me by driving 40kms each way across Sydney's western suburbs navigating through the worst traffic Sydney has to offer. I appreciate all the running around Greg did, its way beyond a quick easy pick up while Greg was in Sydney. I was onto Greg though, I knew even though we had offered to pay to get this equipment back, Greg was never going to accept cash from me. So I, being a little devious, stalked Greg's QRZ page and saw he owned a beautiful Kenwood TS530S, and then I knew how to compensate him with some chance he may accept it. I won't go into the specifics but it's a very collectible Kenwood Item that is very useful and hard to find in its original box. Greg was just over the moon, his face said it all, hes such a genuine guy and there was no hiding his smile, both Greg and his wife are just beautiful people, there's no debating that. I think people like Greg are definitely why our hobby is so good, people who go miles out of their way when they are in Sydney to enjoy time with their family, just priceless. I can't tell you how many people in our hobby who have unconditionally given so much time up to assist me in the 45 years I have been a ham, I honestly would not have had the opportunities in my career or my home tower setups if it wasn't for so many hams who played such a crucial role in assisting me to learn to grow into the roles that were to come in my career. Ham radio, most definitely a choice I will never regret.
