Grace Bumbry Pace mio dio (La Forza del Destino)

Grace Bumbry (1937-2023) performs Pace mio dio from Verdi's La Forza del Destino for a benefit concert in Munich 1990. Festliches vorweihnachtliches Benefizkonzert zugunsten herzkranker Kinder 12-24-1990.

Many years ago I was doing research on black opera singers for a thesis and came across Grace Bumbry. I began collecting lots of videos and audio recordings of her and after the research was complete I put the recordings away. I was just about to toss the computer this file was housed on, and luckily turned it on and found this (and 90+ additional Bumbry recordings) on my device. I'll upload them as I can. CAUTION: The audio quality is a bit distorted and it clips throughout. Turn your volume down so that it doesn't playback too loudly.
