Tram Driver's View - Museumstramway Mariazell (Museum tramway Mariazell) Mariazell - Erlaufsee 4K

In the original advertising brochure, this holiday was advertised using a photo of vintage steam locomotive No.MH6 on the Mariazell Railway, the tour also promised a steam charter train on the Prater Liliputbahn and a vintage tram tour around Vienna. None of these advertised tours ran although the Prater Liliputbahn element of the tour was down to a failed locomotive. Instead of MH6 on the Mariazell Railway we travelled on a soulless, air conditioned, modern electric unit with no forward view and side windows that proved difficult to take photographs through because they reflected the interior of the train. After the disappointment of the Mariazell Railway, I was pleasantly surprised by the Museumstramway Mariazell with its delightful collection of vintage trams, steam locomotives and friendly staff/volunteers. In this video we take a look at the museum collection as well as taking a ride along the line including driver's eye and lineside views. To complete the picture I have included shots of the attractive town of Mariazell set in a beautiful Alpine landscape. This tour also took participants to Hungary and the Czech Republic where the advertised trips ran as expected, I'll be avoiding tours that include Austria in future, it's not the destination it used to be.
