Ginger bugs are a great starter for making fermented soda's. But sometimes we want to take a break from looking after the ginger bug and to take a break from fermented soda making.

In this video I show how to rest a ginger bug and then how to reactivate it after a break.

In the same way as when we make sodas (and other ferments), it is important that the vessel can withstand any pressure that builds up. And that pressure is released before it is a problem.
