I felt it was time to get away from my usual fishing locations and go to somewhere I'm unfamiliar with, so I decided to head north to the Banana River off of Pineda Causeway near Patrick Space Force Base to do a little fishing around some of the mangroves and homes in that area. The Banana river is technically a part of the Indian River Lagoon, however it is separated by Merritt Island. The Banana River is typically much more clear as well and you can sight fish there. I'll be targeting Snook, Redfish, and Tarpon here.
