Happy Halloween Folks!

So, to be completely clear, I know this may be an extraordinarily odd cover! Like, this piece is almost exclusively sound FX, with some odd melodic things here and there. However, on one depressive night earlier this year, I had the idea to make just a bizarre and creepy cover and to just release it with no context, description or anything. That was in a depressive state, but I've since gotten happier, and now I can set this cover up for Halloween exclusively! And do it with that context in mind!

On account of just covering Mother 3 music, I had the joy of watching through Chuggaaconroy's let's play of this game back in early March, and it has quickly become one of my favorite games that I have had the joy of experiencing mostly blind! I love Mother 3 and am eternally sad that we never got to experience it here in the U.S. save for the fan translation and importing Japanese copies. Now that I know what this game's all about, I feel comfortable in joining in the cries to get it officially localised, but it's been almost 20 years since its release, so the chance of that is REALLY low.

Nevertheless, PLENTY of fun to be had with this! This is one of few tracks I recorded live since 2021, as the FX I felt I could only reproduce live and a music video like I normally do simply wouldn't do it justice. I filmed it all the way back in May so I didn't have to figure it out when the cover was due to come out, and just messed with things until I thought it worked. What resulted was quite possibly the creepiest cover I felt I've ever done. I'd been searching for what this song was since 2015, and when I finally found it after watching Emile's let's play, and knowing the context and lead up... holy crap this song is an incredible antithesis to Final Battle music across video games! It's incredible!

I could gush about this song forever, but I'll stop myself! I hope y'all have a good halloween!
