Oaktree Exec Warns: AI Job Loss Crisis Ahead

Armen Panossian, Co-CEO at Oaktree Capital Management, shares his concerns on Bloomberg Television’s "Next Big Risk" about the potential social and economic upheaval AI could bring. As artificial intelligence leads to massive efficiencies and cost savings, traditional jobs like cashiers and drivers could become obsolete, leaving millions without employment and struggling to adapt. Panossian warns of rising social unrest if society fails to address this imminent shift in the job market.

He calls for urgent action to retrain workers and prepare for a post-AI employment landscape, or risk widening the economic divide between the wealthy and those living paycheck to paycheck.
