Wife of Accused Killer's Ex-Lover Testifies About Cheating Scandal

As the trial against Laurie Shaver continued on Wednesday morning, Vanessa Townsend, the wife of Jereme Townsend, took the stand to recall the moment she received a shocking delivery at work. The delivery included flowers and a note from murder victim Michael Shaver, insinuating that his wife, Laurie, and Vanessa’s husband, Jereme, were having an affair. Florida mom Laurie Shaver was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in 2020 after her husband, Michael Shaver, had been missing since 2015. His body was discovered buried beneath a concrete slab in Laurie Shaver’s backyard. In a shocking twist, the couple’s daughter confessed to the crime, claiming she shot her father to protect her mother, who allegedly said he was abusing her at the time. However, in opening statements, Laurie Shaver’s attorney said her lover, Jereme Townshend, shot and killed Michael. If convicted, Laurie Shaver could face life in prison.
