Q&A: What are these Fujifilm Film Simulations All About?

In this video, I discuss one of the unique features or advantages of using Fujifilm equipment, the Fujifilm Film Simulations. Basically, Fujifilm Film Simulations are what other manufacturers might call color profiles, or scene modes, or picture styles, except that Fujifilm’s are based on their long history of manufacturing film and they have created film simulations that try to reproduce the look and feel of some of the classic film stocks. The video gives a brief overview of many of the available film simulations and some of the advantages of using them, especially for photographers who don’t like processing RAW files. I also discuss what I don’t like about them (in my opinion).
