In this series we will be creating a copy of one of Rembrandt's portraits in oils. Master copies are always a great way to learn more about techniques and to get inside another artist’s mind.

In this session we will refine the initial wash drawing by making corrections and adding more details in burnt umber and titanium white.

Materials:
Canvas or oil paper/panel
Medium and small round brushes
Burnt umber oil paint
Titanium White oil paint
Solvent (ideally odourless)
Paper towel
