ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಹೆಸರಾಂತ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಮುಗಿಸಿದ ಧರ್ಮೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಕೆಲಸ ಹುಡುಕಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ತೆರಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಮೊದಲ ಸಂದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಮಿಳು ತಿಳಿದಿದೆಯೇ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲಾಯಿತು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ತಮಿಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ತಿಳಿದಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಲಸ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಿವಿಲ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ತಮಿಳು ತಿಳಿದಿರಬೇಕು ಆ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ನೀಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ತನ್ನ ಜೀವನೋಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಸೌದಿ ಅರೇಬಿಯಾಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಅವರು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಹ ಅಲ್ಲಿನ ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಸೌದಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನಂತರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು. ಈ ವೀಡಿಯೋದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಕಷ್ಟದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಅವನತಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಸುಂದರ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಿಂದ ಮೂಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಹೊಂದಿರಬೇಕಾದ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

Dharmendra who finished his engineering in a renowned engineering college from Mysore decided to move to Bengaluru in search of a job. On his arrival when took his first interview he was asked if he knew Tamil, as all the laborers there only knew Tamil and a civil engineer had to know Tamil to get the job and they don't give him the job. He decides to move to Saudi Arabia to find his livelihood and there too he finds that Indians there wanted to move to Bengaluru post their time in Saudi. In this video he talks about his plight of Kannadigas who are ashamed of speaking in Kannada and how that had led to the downfall of our culture and the pride each person should have for having origins from the beautiful state of Karnataka. This is a motivational talk where Mr. Dharmendra inspires us to speak in the beloved language of Kannada.
