Today's Zazzle Tip of the Week tackles a common, yet often overlooked, mistake designers make with double-sided products: forcing the customer to customize the same design twice! Products like pillows, invitations, and keychains have a front and a back. If you want the same photo collage or design on both sides, there's a simple, fast way to do it that saves the customer time and reduces cart abandonment.

In this tutorial, we use a custom photo pillow as an example to show you how to set up your templates so that your customers only have to upload their photos ONCE, and the design automatically appears on both the front and back!

Here's the Critical Process:

1. Prep the Front Side: Design the front of your product first. We use the new Photo Grid feature (pro tip: search for the number of photos you need, like "three," to quickly find the right grid!)

2. Crucial Step: Create Templates! Double-click inside the photo grid sections and create the photo templates on the front side first.

3. Copy and Paste: Once the templates are created on the front, copy the entire photo grid layer and paste it onto the back side.

4. Customer Experience: By copying the template, Zazzle links the front and back photos together. When the customer replaces the images for the three photo template fields, the same three photos will automatically populate on both the front and the back of the pillow.

This method gives your customers a fantastic, fully-printed, double-sided product without the frustration of repeated customization steps, leading to happier buyers and more sales for you!
