"Horse Stealing Songs" is a progressiveSouthern Plains warbling flute and display. Melding the mediums of instrument making, sculpture, ledger art, jewelry design and concert tuning, "Horse Stealing Songs" showcases complimentary and contrasting textures, colors and grains of wood, metal, paper and leather. It is pentatonic tuned to the key of mid-F.

"Horse Stealing Songs" is crafted from Madrone Burl, African Blackwood, Curly Bloodwood and Leather. The Buffalo Horse Mask that adorns it is comprised of fabricated, stamped, patinated and formed Sterling Silver with sandcast solid 14k Yellow Gold buffalo horns and overlaid nose strips. It also features a genuine 1910 Ledger page that is attached to the flute with archival techniques with overlaid, hand sawn, Sterling Silver running horses and scissor tail flycatchers in flight.
