I am sharing a list of things that you may carry when traveling from India to Canada.

Clothing
General (dress,shirt, jeans,pants,t-shirts,innerwear etc)
Apart from what you wear normally carry a jacket according to the season which you are coming.
Sweater/Hoodies(with cap is better)
Woolen gloves
Bed sheet and pillow cover (Cotton sheets are very much expensive here)
Socks

Footwear
Slipper
Shoes(Formal and comfortable) and accesories such as socks, polish,brush etc

1 small bath towel
Suntan lotion 100ml containers only(If more than 100 ml keep it in checked luggage)
Deodorant 100ml containers only(If more than 100 ml keep it in checked luggage)
Hand sanitizer 100ml containers only(If more than 100 ml keep it in checked luggage)
Body cream and moisturizers 100ml bottles only(If more than 100 ml keep it in checked luggage)

Shampoo 100ml containers only(If more than 100 ml keep it in checked luggage)
Toothpaste 100 gm containers only(If more than 100 ml keep it in checked luggage)

Get some ready-to-cook food, soup packets, Maggi Cup Noodles for the initial days.

Basic medicines:
Get one or two strips of each (enough to six months)

(Cold- Crocin+ ANTIBIOTICS IN CASE YOU FALL SICK (ask your doctor)
Headache - Disprin etc.
Iodex + Cold cough balm
Anti-allergies
Dependal + Perinom (very very important- first few days it will be a change of season you'll get nauseous)
It is recommended to get the Doctor's Prescription and Bill even for over the counter medicines
