IT WAS ANNOUNCED THAT JOHN CENA WILL MAKE HIS RETURN TO WWE JUNE 27th TO CELEBRATE HIS 20-YEAR ANNIVERSARY WITH THE COMPANY. Cena has not made an appearance in WWE since THE SummerSlam 2021 EVENT last August, WHERE HE FACED ROMAN REIGNS IN THE MAIN EVENT.

CENA RECENTLY POSTED A PICTURE ON INSTAGRAM THAT MAY HINT AT WHAT'S NEXT FOR CENA AND WWE.

IN THE PICTURE YOU CAN SEE THE UNITED STATES TITLE, A TITLE THAT CENA HELPED ELEVATE WITH HIS OPEN CHALLENGES BACK IN 2015.

HAS TAKEN SHOTS AT CENA BEFORE, WILL THE TWO FINALLY MEET IN THE SQUARED CIRCLE? RUMORS ARE THAT WE COULD SEE THIS MATCH ON A BIG EVENT STAGE SOON-POSSIBLY AT SUMMERSLAM 2022 WHICH IS SET FOR JULY 30th IN NASHVILLE, TN.

Cena is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history. He has held a world championship 16 times, tying Ric Flair's all-time record.

In recent years, Cena has focused on building his career outside of wrestling. He joined the cast of the Fast & Furious franchise for its ninth film, F9, which was released in 2021. He also starred as Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad that year, which led to a television series centered around the character on HBO Max. The eight-episode season debuted in January 2022.

Cena will be returning to World Wrestling Entertainment on the exact date of his WWE television debut, i.e. June 27, 2002. The debutant challenged Kurt Angle on that night, where the latter laid out an open challenge. Despite losing to Angle, he earned the admiration of the WWE Universe and even legends like The Undertaker that night.


The 16-time world champion took to Twitter to respond to WWE's announcement about his return. The Cenation Leader was ecstatic about the news and wrote that he couldn't wait to spend the occasion with the WWE Universe in Laredo, Texas.
